I had the idea of Salem Witch Trials, I was tasked with the writing element, while @zamnkolove did the art inspired by the idea.

Prompt we decided: Mikasa is a girl who’s accused of Witchcraft during 1692. A stranger rescues her the day before her hanging, completely enthralled by her. Taking refuge in a cabin in the depth of the woods, things take an unexpected turn.

It was a sombre autumn morning, the blotted sky above still tainted with the frigid tones of ash-grey. Frail clouds threatened to fracture at any moment, eagerly daring to cover the region beneath in a blanket of torrent rainfall. Silence encompassed the entirety of the town below, not even that of a birdsong could be heard. The crisp air around the area was bitterly cold. Piercing gusts of frozen air whispered past the wilting trees, shaking the fragile branches of timber in a sinister rhythm. Eldritch vocals of the howling wind echoed through the coarse approaching air, brushing against the buildings. Gelid breaths of air smeared their icy tendrils over the glass of the oaken rimmed windows - causing perspiration to condense itself onto the glacial panes. Yet, the climate was easily the least brittle thing rampant within the despondent town - undoubtedly overshadowed by the atmosphere within the settlement –  shrouded in a bleak, eerie cloak of contempt.
