Quick Rivamika question: what's the first thing that you think when I say rainy day?

alienheartattack:

By mid-morning Mikasa wants to take a walk, unable to stay cooped up indoors for too long. She is restless, bored with television and conversation and sex. Levi says they can’t; he’s got water boiling for tea. It is not much of a justification, but he is firm, declining and saying nothing more. She opens her mouth to protest but then he pushes the sleeves of his white shirt up to his elbow, revealing his leanly muscled forearms, and she is quiet just long enough for him to think the matter is settled.

Levi asks her if she wants soup for lunch. He spends an hour making it from scratch. He cooks heavy utilitarian food, peasant-like, but flavored with subtle refinement. Mikasa sits in the kitchen, silently watching him, listening to the sound of the wind, of the rain tapping against their windows.

She does eventually coax him outside once their bellies are full and warm, but he insists she hold the umbrella. She always holds the umbrella. It’s not quite big enough for the two of them, so she pulls her scarf over her head and makes sure Levi stays dry.
