Hiatus is a scary-sounding word, but this isn’t a hiatus because the author is losing interest in the fandom or is focusing on another story. In fact, the hiatus is because Kat wants to continue Nimbus - but the problem with releasing hundreds of thousands of words one chapter at a time while SNK canon is being developed is that, eventually, your plot is going to get messy. (This is why I didn’t start releasing Inexorable until I’d written most of it - the idea of going back and plugging all those plot holes or changing things to fit canon makes me want to curl up in the fetal position and cry for days.)

Nimbus is being temporarily closed for renovations, basically, and it will come back better than ever.

I’ll give you some insider info: sometimes I help K with her plot ideas, so I’ve read the first chapter of the revamped Thunder Clouds and I know what’s in store for Nimbus. It is REALLY FUCKING GOOD. However, TC needs to be fixed top to bottom in order to make sure everything is cohesive and coherent. So even though it’ll be a few months before you get to read new Nimbus content, in the meantime you’ll have an entire new version of Thunder Clouds to read!
