Hmm, to my response~!

Isayama said himself Levi’s clumsy/awkward when it comes to romance. That combined with his inability to express himself without coming off as a complete asshole (especially in Mikasa’s opinion!) would, in my opinion, make him a little insecure in terms of pleasing his partner. He knows he’s awkward, and from the manga panels we’ve seen, he gets annoyed when he can’t express himself properly.

With that in mind, I think he’d try keeping their date meaningful and intimate but rely on anything but himself to keep her entertained (like fireworks), if that makes sense. I’ll set the scene!

Levi would probably arrange for them to have expensive wine and perhaps stargaze where they could watch the fireworks from a distance. He’d reluctantly lay down a blanket in the grass and say something on the lines of - “Oi, brat. I didn’t set this shitty thing up for nothing. Are you just going to stand there?” But he means it in the most affectionate way(?)… I can definitely imagine him glancing at her expressions occasionally to see how she’s reacting too.

And Mikasa, knowing him for long enough, would notice his uneasiness and subtly wrap her hand around his to reassure him she was having a good time. She’d give him a gentle smile and fidget with his digits. (rhymeee~~) And she would simply just be happy being with him no matter where they were or what they were doing.

As they’re in an isolated location, they’d have a frisky make out session to mark midnight’s arrival. It’d start out being more for Mikasa than Levi but that’s certainly not to say he wouldn’t enjoy it!

To me, an ideal New Years Eve date for these two would be somewhere isolated where they can bask in each other’s company. This is just my interpretation on how they’d spend New Years Eve, so if anyone else feels differently, don’t be shy to share!😉
